Free Automated Linux Phone Server

I find reposting articles to be clutter and low class. However Christopher Poole set up an Asterisk phone server with an automated operator at the other line who recites the digits of pi off to you for hours on end. As soon as I called the number I got so excited that I just had to share. If you want to try it call (253) – 243 – 2504 .

Asterisk is a linux distribution specifically designed for small to medium businesses to setup electronic receptionists on very little budget. I have begun experimenting with my own home server.

Give it a try. Have an idea for your own Asterik server? post it in the comments.
