Unhide Library Folder
Change into your home directory. The easiest way is to type
chflags nohidden Library/
If for any reason you want to change this back, change nohidden to hidden
chflags hidden Library/
The text in blue is the file or folder you intend to unhide.
If you are only looking for a short term solution to turn hidden folder viewing on or off, try the Secrets.prefpane. A free utility that lets you change settings hidden deep under the hood of mac os x.
For those curious, chflags is a collection of attributes MacOsX and Linux machines can apply to an object or folder. Some of them include Archived, Opaque, Immutable.
